Since they began production in 1983, SCAG, which is a division of Metalcraft of Mayville in Mayville, Wisconsin, has released trailblazing products that have redefined the commercial mowing experience. Each piece of SCAG equipment is a product of the USA, where every part and component is designed, tested and manufactured by hand.

They are one of the last commercial power equipment companies that manufacture their own components. Many other manufacturers build their equipment by assembling parts from other companies, some outside of the USA. Each SCAG Gold component on their equipment is manufactured from scratch by SCAG at their 630,00 square foot headquarters in Wisconsin. This proprietary process of manufacturing and commitment to detail allows SCAG an intimate level of quality control across all of their products.

That’s right, virtually all components (except the wheels) of SCAG’s workhorse mowers are made in the USA. This process might cost more, but the value of a dependable mower made to last means less maintenance, fewer parts replaced and more time on the turf.
